Molly's Lemon Cupcakes

This year Molly and Treve shared Easter brunch with our family.

Molly, being in true lovely and creative form, made these amazing Lemon Cupcakes.
She said she took part of the recipe from here and part from Treve's mom (a southern belle from Georgia). I'm not sure about what part came from what part, but these cupcakes were the BEST EVER lemon cupcakes. I know, because I ate more than one!

Cozy Spaces For Reflection

Creating that little cozy space of sanctuary is necessary for every woman's feminine soul. Good intentions can often short when a woman doesn't set aside time and space to reflect, plan, ponder, create and rejuvenate. What does that "cozy" space look like in your home?

If you don't have a little spot set aside, then here's some ideas that might stir you to consider creating that little "sanctuary" space just for you!

Which cozy space could you see yourself being drawn to most?

When life rushes by without a pause in the day - the feminine soul is rushed and a rushed woman's soul - will struggle living out of that Center. An uncentered woman will be scattered, tired, and unproductive!

Country Living

I'm drawn to this cozy space and can picture myself sitting there for hours! I like the color, the softness of that little sofa.

This is another spot that I can image that I'd get lost in - just sitting, journaling, reading, sipping green tea.

I love the shabby chic-ness of this ....

What do you do to quiet your feminine soul? What does your cozy space for reflection look like?

Busy Hands

In case you've noticed, I've not blogged much lately. In case you wonder why - it's because my hands are busy on random and necessary home front projects. Some projects left undone a year ago. I know. I know. Shoulda, woulda, coulda - it's just life sometimes.

It's amazing just how much one woman can acomplish within her home when she isn't on the computer! Amazing.

Yesterday, I spent about five hours in my garden. Gardens are lovely, but need a boat load of tending - in order for there to be fruit, things must be pruned, pinched, guided, given extra water and good nutrients. Kinda like children and training them.

In and out of those outside hours I also made the BEST - I'm talking the BEST ever lemon poppy seed muffins. One little four year old wants to have a tea party and I thought I'd make scones - until I found this recipe (another post).

I also made amazing apple crisp, and started a batch of home made whole wheat bread with a new recipe that I'm loving (another post).

All this to say, is that I'll be in and out of blogging as I'm realizing how far more productive I can be with my time by keeping my hands busy - not on the lap top.

What about you?
