I found these super cool ideas over at Martha's place. Did you ever think of naturally dyeing Easter eggs with what's in your kitchen? All you need are your natural dyeing agents (red cabbage, turmeric, onion skins, beets, and coffee), a 3-quart pot (or larger), white vinegar, a strainer, some small bowls, your eggs, a large metal spoon, paper towels and a drying rack
Martha gives this recipe and cool color list:
Deep Gold: Boil eggs in turmeric solution, 30 minutes.
Sienna: Boil eggs in onion-skin solution, 30 minutes.
Dark, Rich Brown: Boil eggs in black coffee, 30 minutes.
Pale Yellow: Soak eggs in room-temperature turmeric solution, 30 minutes.
Orange: Soak eggs in room-temperature onion-skin solution, 30 minutes.
Light Brown: Soak eggs in room-temperature black coffee, 30 minutes.
Light Pink: Soak eggs in room-temperature beet solution, 30 minutes.
Light Blue: Soak eggs in room-temperature cabbage solution, 30 minutes.
Royal Blue: Soak eggs in room-temperature cabbage solution overnight.
Lavender: Soak eggs in room-temperature beet solution, 30 minutes. Follow with room-temperature cabbage solution, 30 seconds.
Chartreuse: Soak eggs in room-temperature turmeric solution, 30 minutes. Follow with room-temperature cabbage solution, 5 seconds.
Salmon: Soak eggs in room-temperature turmeric solution, 30 minutes. Follow with room-temperature onion-skin solution, 30 minutes.

Banana Crunch Muffins
Barefoot Contessa
3 cups all-purpose flour 2 cups sugar 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 pound unsalted butter, melted and cooled 2 extra-large eggs 3/4 cup whole milk 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (2 bananas) 1 cup medium-diced ripe bananas (1 banana) 1 cup small-diced walnuts 1 cup granola 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut Dried banana chips, granola, or shredded coconut, optional
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Line 18 large muffin cups with paper liners. Sift the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt into the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a paddle attachment. Add the melted butter and blend. Combine the eggs, milk, vanilla, and mashed bananas, and add them to the flour-and-butter mixture. Scrape the bowl and blend well. Don't overmix.
Fold the diced bananas, walnuts, granola, and coconut into the batter. Spoon the batter into the paper liners, filling each 1 to the top. Top each muffin with dried banana chips, granola, or coconut, if desired.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the tops are brown and a toothpick comes out clean. Cool slightly, remove from the pan, and serve.

The gift of tiny bird-shaped bells has been a tradition for generations in northern Japan. Commonly found hanging in parks and gardens, they make a beautiful and meaningful housewarming, birthday or simple well-wishing gift. Hung from a tree, door, or in a window, their cheerful sound creates warmth and bring inspiration. At Redenvelope!

I so enjoy Ballard Designs. Isn't this lovely for spring? I can picture this as the centerpiece and I think a lovely lady luncheon is another perfect idea. Invite me.

Just look at that man. The one on the left. Gosh, I love him. And, the great guy on the right is our favorite older son-in-law. Oh, yes. . .
I'm still here - just gardening, spending some shoulder to shoulder time with my husband, wiping his brow and serving him lemonade. I'll show more pictures soon.
Don't you just want to sit down under a sweet smelling shade tree and sip some lemonade? This great idea and this lemonade treat creates the sweetest southern wedding.
In the meantime, I'm still thinking about cupcakes and I love Notes from a Cottage Industry display of her fabulous looking cupcakes.
These yum cupcakes are compliments of Design Mom and Sk*rt, which btw - has some exciting news. Sk*rt is - well - sk*rty.
