simplify for the holidays
I love peeking in on blogs. In between 50 million different things happening on my home front and I did so this morning and am delighted to find this great book help - Simplify Your Holidays A Classic Christmas Planner to Use Year after Year (Thomas Nelson 2008) at Kim's Place - aka known as The Amber Lily.
Kim's written a great review on the book and it looks as if it would be an invaluable resource as the holidays are upon us.

call and response - fight against human trafficking
I'd heard about human trafficking, but never really had a clue as to the magnitude of it's crime -here in the good old USA. It's estimated that one million precious human image bearers are slaves to the greed of others - here in the good old USA.
Quote: Human trafficking is the world's most rapidly growing crime, enslaving some 1.2 million people each year and appearing in our own neighborhoods - right in your state - right in your city - right in your own community.
Trafficked persons come from all over the world - forced to work in the sex industry or labor in domestic servitude, manufacturing, construction or agricultural work.
The question remains: what will you do? what will I do?
